Santander White Chocolate with Coffee Bits

In my lexicon, white chocolate is still an oxymoron. However, I have enjoyed some white bars. For latte fans, Santander’s Single Origin White Chocolate with Coffee Bits might be a great substitute when you can’t carry a hot liquid. The chocolate has an impressive cacao content: 35%, and the roasted coffee pieces comprise only 2.4% of the bar, so if you are watching your caffeine intake this shouldn’t give you much of a buzz. That doesn’t mean they are only a token presence. The crunchy coffee pieces punctuate almost every creamy bite yielding an exciting concatenation of textures and flavors.

In case you don’t recognize the name, this is the same company that makes those wonderfully adult 70% dark bars with tiny pieces of pineapple. See the review at: https://chocolateratings.wordpress.com/2008/01/07/amedei-63-toscano-blond-compared-to-santander-70-with-pineapple/”>
