Xan confections makes some of the most fruit-intensive chocolates I have ever tasted. Their Saintly Sins collection is filled with pineapple, raspberry, and strawberry balsamic centers sweetened with agave. Each has only 29 calories, 1 gram of fat, and 5 grams of carbs. For under 100 calories you can indulge in three exquisitely unique dark chocolates whose richness, visual appeal, and fresh fruit flavors will satisfy you like the most sumptuous dessert.
Xan’s Jewel Collection, an assortment of dairy and gluten free caramels is completely different, but just as crave-worthy. Each iridescent gem is reminiscent of Buckminster Fuller’s geodesic dome. I tried chocolate caramel, ancho chili, butterscotch, coconut pecan, and espresso almond, all were excellent: chewy and not too sweet. Bananas Foster and Raspberry round out the line.
Their Signature collection offers pralines, caramels, truffles, and other fillings for those who want more variety.
Xan’s packaging is geared to nature lovers. Artistic flowers, hearts, and butterflies adorn cardboard boxes with clear windows that let you see the chocolates, and slide out a nice little drawer that’s user friendly. I liked the design so much I cut them up for bookmarks.
You might also enjoy knowing how ecologically savvy they are at Xan. Green power, recyclable packaging, local products, and dairy from cows not treated with rBst are just extra reasons to try these delectable confections.
