When you eat and sample as much chocolate as I do, it’s nice to have extra textures and flavors for novelty. Endangered Species makes two 72% bars with add-ins that really ratchet up the experience.
I have always been a fan of their Dark bar with Hazelnut Toffee. It strikes a perfect balance of crunchy bits of caramelized hazelnuts with very dark chocolate, and it’s tempered to a satisfying snap.
The Dark bar with Cranberries and almonds has small pieces of almond and tiny bits of cranberry. If you are someone who prefers a higher chocolate to add-in ratio this bar is for you. Both renditions use the same chocolate base: appealingly intense but not challenging, creamy rather than dry, and earthy without tasting of soil.
