This is one very intense chocolate bar. When I first tried it I thought it might be too intense, but I was dead wrong. The second bite showed me how many layers of flavor there were. A veneer of leather, tobacco, coffee, and soil gave way to a burst of rich plummy notes, all enhanced by a lovely creaminess. Heaven for the soul who loves complexity, super-dark chocolate, and a smooth finish. Somehow, this bar managed to be assertive and subtle at the same time. The more I ate, the more I came to appreciate it.
